Which transfer pump would you advise I go for?

Need one with a good flow rate (higher the better) >50lpm

And at a good price....

Where would I find a good deal?

Depends what you are using it for. If you're using it to transfer large quantities of water from an IBC to your vehicle tank then you need one of these:



These pump about 80-100 litres per minute. 

If you need one to pump water from a vehicle tank to a trolley system then you need a 12v 50/75 litre per minute one such as this:

Drill a hole through the lid that matches the size of your transfer hose and then feed the transfer hose a cable through it. Re-fit the lid and seal around the hose with silicone = water tight and permanent.

I got mine from Makro - they always seem to be on offer their. Mine is a Karcher one  -£24.99. They have a different make on offer every couple of weeks.

Yes. Not a 12v one though - It's 240v I use it to transfer the water from my static system. You have to be card holder at Makro though ) not sure if you knew. But, if you haven't got one you'll defo qualify to get one.

i bought a used one off ebay its made by clarke and does 253 litres  per min, i can fill my 640 tank up in 8 mins and thats going through 20 metres of hose, theres one on ebay at the mo item number 180270704287

for optimum flow rate you need at least 25mm internal diameter hose
