a lot depends on the prices of the jobs if they are underpriced it doesnt matter what percentage thet offer as it wont be enough.

They wont be under priced as the jobs arent there yet, its a big company in my area and i know the owner and hes always turning down work, so i put the idea to him so were going to talk, hes been around for 22 years, and has contacts all over the country.

if this is the case why not price the first few jobs with him , you tell him roughly what you would want be reasonable with your price that way it will leave enough room for him to add 15-20% for himself .
see what percentage of work you get and adjust prices and percentages as you go to see what suits the best to get the work and both make a decent amount.
