Came home this afternoon and the new y pages is sat on my door ..Had a good look through the c cleaning section and the bigest c cleaning company in cheshire has taken a v small add....I myself decided not to advertise in it at all.....Must be at least 9 c cleaners that have also not renewed........The pages itself is nearly 390 pages less than last year...Next year i think will even be less pages....

I think people a wising up to the fact that YP isn't used as much as it used to be, if YP don't drastically lower their prices they won't be around in ten years.

not big but not small, it cost me a fortune but i had to give it a go, so many diff opinions on here, so i thought, better try myself and if i dont get enough work then i'll just go for a reference ad next time, i'm on yell too, giving everything ago and then getting rid of what doesnt work next year. trial and error, costly but essential.

My last yp add did well there are quite a few others in my area,but i had my add bumped right to the front ! this will be my 4th year in this book.Also got the same add in another area this year ,also with a lot of competition.
Must say it`s been a nightmare getting the ad and artwork sorted this time had to keep sending it back for ammendments as stuff was not right.Crossing my fingers this pays me back as it`s over 3 grand in total

yes YP have definately had there day, but you talk to a rep and they wont have it. The web has definately took over.
Surprised they dont push yell.com more, i have pulled out of that this year as it did nothing, think google is the way to go.

I would say that NU-Life have a small advert as they are doing a lot of Stone & Hard Floor cleaning.

Hardly anybody does it so there is money to be made.

Plus they do a lot of internet based marketing.

I find it interesting the way that people slate the performance of "the book".

What about the advert you put in it?

If you printed your flyers on pieces of pooty bog roll and stuffed them through letterboxes you wouldn't get a very good return.

If you've spent thousands on YP and not got a decent return, I'm sorry but you've gone wrong somewhere!

I have AAAAA in front of me as M.G.D is right back ,works until people start looking for you by name from recomendations.was on a job yesterday and the people living opp were having their carpets done,bloke came over and we had a chat,he has just bought himself the new altec machine, very envious
