Tulsion resin on E BAY has anybody used it , if so what was the verdict , all help appreciated

I have used Tulsion for many years now and have found it to perform better than the first two products I tried.

Have been surprised at the feedback we have received from people who have been using top brands.

There have been a few people who did not see any differnce but when I checked their systems the main cause was the di vessel which they have now rectified.

The downside for us is people do not order as regular as it last long when used in correct conditions, but good news for the user. Water quality can also have an effect on the product you use so best try all makes to see what suits your water, and then weigh up cost of volume produced and price of resin.

Being as honest as I can.

But remember the way you set up your DI's has a big impact on resin & the way Dave's are set up aint gonna make any resin last any longer!

You have to prove it to yourself, change your set up or shut up. who's the fool, the one who's resin now lasts more than double what it did or the one who goes through resin like amy winehouse goes through coke?

YOU are the minority, virtualy everyone else gets twice the life from their resin by listening to advise & making changes- or are you too big now to stoop so low? :

2. Use dowex or tulsion
3. Use two DI's in sequence
4. Do not fill tank through DI's
5. Have the DI's on van & purify water on demand @ a lower flow rate.


Input tds= 90ppm (ish) (fluctuates between 75-95ppm)
Used to use 4 to 5 bags of resin per year, now use 2 & have double the work that i used to have!

I've put it like this to help others who may have a little difficulty adding up (just incase)

I think that is a very important part of it, and last time I checked Dave didn't do that? (not having a dig at you btw Dave)

macmac, you might want to consider revising your first post, it was quite harsh.

It is all speculation, I now use 5 di's in series and fill up into storage tanks.

I have spoke to 3 suppliers now, a couple have just hinted that you might get marginally more out of it.

None of them will state publicly that it will last longer than other makes, I wonder why ?

Come on Alex, Mr Mccann and others please give us your opinions.

Filling up straight into the van or using it on demand makes no difference at all, I have tried it every way and its all the same.

As for the minority , do you mean minority to you and a couple of suppliers who are trying to promote your resin.

Heres a test for you, fill 2 separate  500ml Di units up with different types of resin in , turn on the tap and see which lasts the longest , you can turn the flow rate down as slow as you like, then tell me your findings.

You will get a different result across the country due to water quality.

The problem with this is that no one can state that their virgin resin will definitely last longer than another make of virgin, claims are usually heresay and would not stand up to clinical observation. Obviously a virgin resin  will last longer than non-virgin, but after this it is usually down to the exact chemical make up in the water in each area. The life of the resin can also be affected by the presence of chemicals that do not register on a TDS meter, so someone can have the same TDS as another user in a different area, but because of the different chemical and mineral make-up it will last a different length of time. This is not to say that one make of virgin resin will not outlast another but this may be down to its compatibility to the type of water that is being used with and if used in another area of the country may even last less time.

We're about to start a program of resin testing along the lines of what you have suggested, we are also looking at using a completely different type of resin to change how we filter water currently. These things do take time though and right now I have virtually none!
