Big house canvassing
« on: July 25, 2008, 08:53:10 pm »
hi guys, i am looking to pick up some new work next week as i changed to wfp and made room in my schedule for more work, anyone here have any good tips on how to advertise or canvass to get BIG houses, there are a few areas near where i am working now where there are some huge places, footballers and multi millionaires etc, i am not shy to go knock but i presume i will just get turned away cold calling, used to work as a canvasser, and usually got lots of rejection in such a high demographic but there must be a way to get in there??? Anyone done it and got tips??

Don`t knock if i were you,it`s a case of getting the first few and the rest will follow.9 x out of 10 if 1 has a big house so do all there freinds and family, not always but more often than not,the most important thing you have to do is promote yourself as trustworthy and of smart appearance. Most of the time big domestic work is gained through word of mouth.

I knocked on a biggie last week, thinking to myself theyre bound to have a window-cleaner.

Well, they didnt and after having a good look round, discussing what WFP is she agreed to have an 8 weekly visit at £65.00 a go.

Knocking works.

have you everclean?? tell me roughly where n i wont undercut:) only messing,

a neighbour of mine used to have all of hale barns, he made a fortune window cleaning because they all knew him he charged what he wanted...
I know what you mean about cold calling though, i might give it a shot though, i did it for a living a few years ago for an energy firm and you always got work, its just keeping positive when people reject you.
