I have to agree having used it for a couple of days i would certainaly like to see more bristles as for everything else cant fault it personaly i just hope it's tuff enough to last for a while..

Paul

The bristles should last for a good couple of years in standard use.

Ahh thats nice to hear  :D

Although I said in the other post, about perhaps needing a stiffer brush for frames, I did one house today, with never pvc, and the brush cleaned it very very well. Excellent I would even say.

Got mine today and couldn't believe how few bristles there were - bearing in mind i had just been using a vikan mono. Initial impressions were how unstable the brush felt, i couldn't get it to splay evenly, sometimes it splayed outwards and sometimes inwards. Couldn't get the angle right because it's a very narrow brush. Anyone coming from a Vikan mono will find it strange i'm sure. I'm hoping it's going to be like one of those cd's you buy but hate at first but turn out to be one your all time favourites. Have to say it looks good, cleans well but would agree with Lukes comments particularly about stability. I don't think it's a brush for everything but for purely glass cleaning it seems very good.
Anyone using a vikan mono should find it a dream, you can`t compare a vikan mono to that brush at all there`s no comparison. If you want a brush that jumps around all over the glass then carry on using the vikan.

I can understand everyones dislike of the vikan but i have gone back to it after going thorough a number of other brushes. The reason i keep going back to it is the jets - the best fan jets that i have seen , the other brushes i have tried seem to have no power behind them and have no confidence with them when you have to lift off to rinse.
Is it just me or are vikan fanjets superior?

Which supplier do you get your Vikans from?  Vikan don't actually make jets, they are added by the supplier. Most brushes will take fanjets so if you have a particular make of jet that you like, you should be able to have them fitted to whatever brush you want.

Would the jets that can fit a vikan fit your brush?

The thing with the Vikan Mono is that it's so dense and chunky that i find it perfect as a clean everything brush - frames, doors, glass and conservatory roofs. You can use it at odd angles and get away with it. The Superlight needs a bit more finesse and is totally different in feel and splay and has longer bristles. I wouldn't attempt a conservatory roof with it but will be very happy with it at forty feet. This is just a first impression and with more use i'm sure i will like it more. I didn't like the clamps on the SL-X to start with.  :)

Take em out of your brush, make hole bigger in Superlite brush, and fit them. Done. :)

We supply the same fan jets, which we can fit to the new brush if required.

Just got back in from a lazy mornings work and this brush is really starting to grow on me. It will clean in some very tight spots with ease, splays up into the top seal to get the spiders out and is very user friendly. You can see it's been well thought out - the stock is as minimal as you can get with rounded corners and seems to be just thick enough to hold Gardiners jets. Something else i found out is how easy it will fit up behind a gutter so if you start making single trim Alex, i rekon a short brush of about five inches with very narrow jets would make an excellent gutter/soffit/fascia brush.
Even with the reletively sparse bristles it still scrubs well. I haven't worked out how the dual trim bit works yet as the shorter bristles feel the same as the long ones - i was expecting something like a scrrubbing brush in the center. Have to remember Alex has been using a prototype for some time so it should be good and i think it is.

Yea, interesting that you say that, I thought of the same thing, getting the Vikan in between the guttering was a real pain, this should be very nice for that.

Also with patio doors, I don't bash the handle anymore, it's quite low profile, very nice. :)

Gonna do my own house now, and take my time nicely.
