Just bought a new boxxer,and has been fitted to my swb trafic,but the sol/water hose reels wont fit on the vac hose reel(not any room).Was wondering if any one on here,has any pics of what could be done,is there a way of fixing them to the roof?(inside of coarse).

Dave Liahona recently posted some pics of his newly fitted-out van with the reels on the roof.  I think he just fixed some batons across the roof supports and then fixed the reels to them, but can't remember exactly.

Why did you try to squeeze a boxxer into a SWB? :-/

fix it to your rear door.

I used to have mine there, my solution line reel had a central pivot on a piece of angle iron which originally bolted onto the leg of the vac hose reel.

I took off the bottom plastic panel of the rear door, this gave me access to the inside of the centre brace section of the door. I drilled through the brace panel and inserted bolts form the inside, outwards, I then bolted a piece of box section steel onto the door. My hosereel bolted onto this.

like where you got the ramp dave, like the skinny hose reel, john at hydra never gave me that option, or have to fashioned it yourself

300 on solution, 200 on vac, if I need more vac for a specific job I just put a couple of extra coils in

Hydramaster made it to my spec. I find that with HM you can get what you need although sometimes you have to be quite firm : with them . With other suppliers you don't have an option because they just import and resell std items

HM can supply a kit to mount the ramps on the back door, it's very good if not a tad expensive, the brackets on mine are from the DIY, about £8

my mates a welder, would it be feasible to cut 6 inches out of the middle, cant say ive had all the hose reel off to have a look. only ever used 50 so far allthough i think i'll need 100 tomoz for 2 beds in a 5 bedder.

Thanks for your help guys,Dave,thats a great set up you have,but my van is way smaller,I've got the machine mounted in the rear,beside the hose reel.What sort of fresh water reel is that,and how is it fitted to the roof?

OK I understand now, that is tight! If it's the garden hose reel it's a std hozelock self rewinding, you'll find them in most garden centres or a bit cheaper on the Internet. For your solution reel it's either a roof or door mount as has been suggested, HM could make either but as an alternative why not use it in coils and hang it on a hose hanger from the DIY's or Garden Centre?

Noted your pictures above.  Looks very efficient & tidy.

Notice that the 427 (not a light machine), the fresh water tank (often pretty full) & the hose reels are all towards the near side of the van.  Only really counter balanced by the waste tank (often not so full).
Does this cause any handling problems or unusually high tyre wear on one side?

Certainly doesn't cause any handling problems, my Sprinters only done 5000mls so too early to say about tyre wear but on my previous Transit with a 421 and submount tank I had no problems at all. On the plus side the waste tank is the larger(100gal) tank with apo so that redresses the balance somewhat together with the fact that a lot of the weight of the 427(blower and pump) is towards the centre of the van

I forgot! the van has a side step so in fact the machine is actually mounted a good 8" away from the nearside so it's probably quite central!
