Best thing to do if you don't have experience of a certain task is to work out what you need to earn per hour. In fact every business should work on this principle and it might bring some of the cheap guys to their senses.
Sit down and work out how much it costs to run your business, include everything even stamps etc and also allow costs for equipment renewal. Then decide how much you need/want to earn to give you the standard of living you require. The minimum wage is £11,481 whilst the avergae wage is £28,000. A lot of self employed cleaners are happy earning 15k whilst I have many customers earning 3-5 times that.
Once you have worked out what you need to earn per hour then target work at that rate. Can still take a while to get it right estimating how long a job will take but you soon get the knack of looking at a job and estimating correctly.
