Last week I went to a house where a large ink splat from a leaking bic type biro pen had ruined a white wool ( 80 /20 ) carpet. I got most of it out using solutions but was left with a faded blue mark about the size of a penny. The lady of the house had already had a go with vanish, so that could well have set the stain before I got there. Rather then leave the mark as it was ( right it the middle of the room ) I asked her if I could have her permission to use bleach
I applied the bleach using a cotton bud and extracting straight away. And guess what........it came out ( or covered it ). A week later and everything is still OK.
Bet I get some criticism for this one, but in this case it worked.
Has anyone else used this method?
PS If anyone else has a go and it goes wrong it wasn't my idea
