Replacement xtel section
«
on:

I have a question regarding a replacement section of pole for my xtel glass fibre 21' pole.
Is it possible to replace section 1 with a section of carbon fibre pole
This is the section that always lets me down, and a longer life option would be great

Gardiners sell a direct replacement whick is OK, but what would prevent me from fitting a xtel hybrid section for example, if one was available? Or even better a carbon section 1 that would last years with light use. I would like something that lasts, not necessarily a cheap option that wont. A carbon section would also do away with the problem of fibre glass shards on a worn pole
Any option considered

Yes, it is quite possible to replace the top section of an X-Tel with a Hybrid section or a Carbon section. The only thing that varies on them is their cost. If you could find an aluminium tube of the same outer diameter (22 mm) you could substitute with that.

Hey thanx Alex, what are the costs for a carbon section that would fit the xtel 21 footer?

You would have to buy a top section for a 45ft CF Xtel which is approaching £150!!
Or a Hybrid Xtel top section is £37.55
