It started fine when I switched it on this morning, then just stopped. I checked out all the usual probs, but had no luck.
The problem is with the pump, I already checked out the PCB.
I wired the pump up direct, bypassing the PCB and it wouldn't start, checked it out with the meter and the pump was getting 13.7 volts. I then removed the black plastic cover that fits over the soldered pump connections, there are slots that enable you to turn the pump a little with a small screwdriver, as soon as I moved it the pump started up again, it will continue running until I stop it, but it won't start up again unless I turn it again with a screwdriver.
Is there any way I can dismantle the pump to check for an obstruction? I tried forcing water into the outlet but that won't work either, there must be a one way valve.
Has anyone changed the pump on the backpack? How did you remove those clips off the hoses?and did you use jubilee clips as replacements?
Where can I get a new pump?
Sorry for all the questions guys. I really don't think that the backpack is up for the job, I already changed one PCB and I only use the thing on about 7 days out of a month.
Any suggestions appreciated. Dai
