It's not the best but was easy to do. Buy your name through 123 reg and use their site builder. Anyone can use it no computer skills required!

Thgat was not aimed as a dig at you far from it, or anyone else that has posted, I know full well about page ranking m8, I was saying that many has a site that does not work for them and the main reasonms are the layout, the text, the sources code bits and bobs, just because a site looks nice means nothing (new business means something IMO)

by using what keywords? Mine was number 1 if you typed in wce window cleaning. Window cleaner Tewkesbury  though different story. You need to think what the person trying to find you will  type in. Will they put the comapny name if they have never even heard of you? No! They are more likely to use a general term to search window cleaners in the area.

With which keywords though if the google robots had trawled you and Window washers was Number 1 then that isn't that impressive. However if you had say the number 1 listing for find a window cleaner inside 12 hours then that is impressive.

Keywords are supposedly less important than they once were, but having said that there's no one that knows 100% how google operates, so it's very much trial and error

Ian, page rankings aren't something i really don't  bother about. I've got search terms that i configure and they get me on top of page one and that's what counts

|Trial and error can get you banned for life, it takes alot of time dudy to work it with google as they change all the time, there are loads of things I see and do that make a difference.

Art you are on the right lines though, but to be right up there is a full time job on its own.
