Caravan carpet & upholstery
« on: January 20, 2005, 09:13:21 am »
I've been asked to deep clean a number of static caravan carpets & upholstery that are really soiled, having not done this before i need some advice from the experts.
Which machine is the best for this application bearing in mind that I need a short drying time?

Done this before and doing a boat on Saturday.

You need for deep cleaning ifs its dirty a HWE machine.

You need power for a portable.  Caravans dont have enough power so this will be a problem, so will water supply.

At this time of year it will take hours to dry especially in an unheated caravan even with dryers.

If I where you I'd take the cushions home and clean them in your workshop (thats your garage or spare room).  This way you can control the above factors.

Charge enough as this type of upholstery can be deceiving.

Mark

PS. or you could hire a truckmount for the day.

Or not do it at all.

Not enough room to swing a cat, loads of nooks & cranies, heavy traffic soiling, problems with power/ water etc.

Can you really charge enough for this kind of job?

Never done one...thank goodness.

David,

I would hesitate before putting one of those jet engines in the confined space of a caravan  ;D

Towing down Motorway @ a steady 85mph with doors & windows open usually does the trick  ;D
