« on: May 30, 2008, 08:10:31 pm »
ok... today i had to take my rabbit to have an absyss removed..... the vet who is one of my domestic customers did the operation.....when i called in to the vet surgery to pick my rabbit up, the vet called me aside to explain the details of recovery and anti biotics etc .
he then said can we barter over payment :o :o....astonished i asked "what do you mean"?
he then asked if i would clean the surgeries windows a few times (6 times) we agreed in return for the rabits treatment ;D

a real nice deal as im going away to greece for a fortnight on sunday and moving house when i get back ::) so the last thing i needed today was a hefty vets bill ;D

Wish my vet had said the same on Wednesday when I paid  over £200 for having the dog's teeth cleaned.
But somehow I doubt he would have gone with 3 cleans at £70 each (when you be lucky to get £20 on a contract basis  ;D )
Come to think about it, it would probably have been cheaper to take him to a private human dentist.  >:(

Surely pub windows have to be worth a good rate of exchange?

A "sleeperhouse"? ::)  I don't think people sleep in them.

I think the oddest one I did was on a very hot Summer's day one year.  I cleaned the windows on an ice cream van and he gave me an ice cream   :)  .

A few years ago, all the council properties on one of my rounds were being refurbished, so they moved all the tenants out into static caravans  at a local farm, some of my custies asked me to do the caravan windows as they would be there for 3 months. I got more money for the caravan windows than the house windows ;D ;D

A customer I once had worked in a printshop. He printed me off 2500 'WINDOWS CLEANED' cards for a couple of free cleans. They lasted me for years as they had 'PLEASE RETURN CARD WITH PAYMENT' written on them as well.
