Back to the original question , and i dont mean to be the bearer of bad tidings but i have had this happen to me twice in the last 2 weeks , both first cleans and both times the window was fine before i cleaned and misty afterwards , both old style aliminium units , i window and 1 patio door , so i am afraid this is due to the water fed pole being used , these windows would presumably have misted themselves over time rain, elements etc but wfp clearly does cause this to older style windows.

The mist or condensation alters according to temp etc. Yes the temerature effect on the glass could have made them mist up. We are saying it didn't cause it, and this type of misting will come and go on it's own dependant on sun etc. Unless you know for a fact that we are wrong in the case you mention.

I have been suspiscious about this for a few months as i have had windows that have misted and i thought the wfp may have caused but i wasnt 100% due to not properly checking beforehand, since then i have always checked windows before starting and certainly the 2 misted windows in the last couple of weeks were clear of any mist/condensation before and misted after..... i have been waiting for the phone to ring or a comment comin back with my cheque but hasnt happened so far - very lucky! ....... (it is the only down side to wfp cleaning i have discovered)

I think if their blown they mist anyway 'cos your washing them with cold water at a different temp to the glass which makes them look worse.

Nice to be able to agree with DJW for a change.
We take your word for it that they misted up, we are saying that you didn't cause it.They may well mist up on each visit from you, but they will mist up other times too.

Thank you all for the replys...
Like I said I have seen this on windows that have never been done with WFP....
If using Wfp causes this and it has been described that Wfp is like a rain left on the windows..
What must it be like in the winter when a trade cleaner puts hot water on a window and the surface of the glass goes from the air tempurature to the heat of the water ?
if thats trade and does no damage I can not see how WFP can.... :

Cold frame condensation !
Cold water on outside of glass causes the glass temp. to drop and the mist inside condenses out on the glass.
Water can only get into the sealed units after the seal has broken down, which is generally caused through weathering.
When I was trad. I used to mention the units had broken down as soon as I noticed, because some customers used to think you had not cleaned that window as it still looked dirty.
