How much are they?

I got a scudo because I thought it would be easier to park (it is) and I already had a ducato with my other business( two large vans on the drive as well a my little fiat brava)
Now with a 400l tank gone by twelve i wish i'd gone vivaro.

Could I get my suspension uprated to take a heavier tank? How much might it be?

It will be cheaper if you buy the kit and get your local man to do it for you, just buy the uprated suspesion kit,if it were me i would change vans.

hiya!

I have a scudo with 525 litres (400 upright + 125 upright) and would also like a vivaro or similar.

I took it on a weighbridge the other week and it was 50kg overweight first thing in the morning!

the 2.0 jtd max overall weight should be 2330kg and mine was 2380kg.

that fella who's got 1000 litre tank must be dangerously overloaded, No matter what springs he's got!

and where does he put everything else???   :o

thanks m.. and everyone..

sounds a nice van.. is it ok for general work, as it does seem large but im not criticising it.... would be nice to walk around though inside  ;)

do all the vivaros/primaster/and traffic have the same problems or is it just the vivaro?

anyone?

My Trafic needed a new gearbox at 39,000 miles (03 plate).  I'm told it's a big problem with therse vans.  I understand it was rectified around the 55 plate.  I just wish manufacturers would be more open about these things.  I would like a central database that can outline any faults on any vehicle so you can see which vehicles are prone to which problems at what mileage.  There would be a slot for manufacturers to state what they had done about these problems.  At the moment it is just word of mouth.
Such a database could be compiled now we have the internet.  I wouldn't expect it to be manufacturer led though.

Just moving on from that thought for a moment, it would be possible to have a website where vehicle users can supply details of which vehicle they have and which parts required changing at particular mileages.  No need for individual identification either.  Surely someone must have tried this already as I'm not exactly an original thinker.  The only drawback could be rival manufacturers posting poor details about other manufacturers' vehicles.

been useing a movano  mwb for the last two years, great vans to drive,so much so that the larger size of the van is no problem at all, very very easy to drive.

the down side is the gear box,i thought i was lucky with mine untill recently, started haveing trouble getting into first gear, ive got a feeling a big bill could be on the way  :'(

Thanks.... i think i will gain a little more info on these vans and look around a while... transits seem another option but there are lots of different types.

Just bought a Trafic LL29 LWB as part of a package with a 650ltr Thermopure system fitted, (see my other thread).

So far not really used it other than driving it up from Huddersfield, but it drove really well, very easy and comfortable, nice driving position and plenty of power.  Just had it serviced and MOT'd and it passed no bother (rear brake pads and wiper blades!)

If you do end up going for a trafic/vivaro/primastar, I suggest you go for the 2.9 tonne version (most are 2.7).
