ok, I've got the pda working but now I've tried to hotsync and lost all the data from my pda (pocket george) I tried putting the backup from my usb drive into c:\george>backup
but when I run george theres still no info in there at all, no round names or customer info :o :'(

someone please advise me here, I've emailed paul at george systems but he hasnt got back to me as yet so if someone has had this happen before how did you fix it?

I take it you have downloaded  and tried the system restore program (free on george site)?

This , when used will ask you for the location of your back-up (on your usb) it should then take last back-up reading you highlight!

I do hope this helps  :)

If you use the online backup system then you will be sorted as soon as Paul reads your email. The same happened to me and was sorted within a couple of days of emailing him.

If you havent used the online backup you could be buggered :-[

Hi

If you've run George recently the backup may have been overwritten - so copy it from the USB drive to the Backup folder again.

Then run the Data Restore program and click the "Latest" button.

Hi

Run George and look in the top right hand corner of the Main Menu page.

The Serial Number is there...

Are you sure about the serial location Paul?

On the version of George that I am using, it is under system settings/user, at the top under user name.  ;)
