Last year was my first year WFP.. A lot of my customers said they did not like the windows left wet  ..

Well they got a trade guy to do it and I have met him, he's a nice chap     I told him why I changed, Safety and the benefits of me going to WFP...

Well last week I was working in the same area as him and it started to rain  ..

Well I never work in the rain, but he does and was cleaning the windows of the customers that say they do not like the windows left wet 

Well his ladder was safely secure but the runs of the ladders were wet and his foot slipt  He did not fall off which was good but it just makes me think
the customer was left with wet windows ?
and the cleaner was putting himself in a situation and therefore had more chances of slipping off  :

SO do the customers really get what they want

All customers are different, some you win, some you don't but what still remains at the end of the day is their right to decide which method & which person they want to clean their windows. After all, they are the customer & so it's down to the service provider to persuade them to stay/come on board. Personaly, i've never had a complaint about the windows being left wet but the results i leave put paid to that one- the proof is in the pudding (so to speak). I have always found it best not to over-sell wfp or over-complicate the introduction of it to a customer, having been at it 4 years or so i have every confidence in my method & the results i get wfp (& trad for that matter).

Pricing, customer relations etc. is not an exact science, it's more of an art form!

I tend now to let the customers make their own minds up. You can't please everybody no matter what you do and the more you try the worse it gets.

Gradually the moaners and the troublesome ones filter themselves out and you end up with a nice round of happy, easy to please customers who are a pleasure to work for.

Thats why I never get concerned too much by customers expectations. I'm me, this is what I do, they either like it or they don't.

I do a good job to the best of my ability but I fully realise that not everyone is going to like it.

YES  , But a good window cleaner can do all the trade

yeah it really peeves me off using my ladders now.i even gate vault locked gates up 2 bout 7ft just 2 avoid taking me ladders of me roof rack.think 1day i may come a cropper.

I was on a marina for three days last week, I have to use ladders to access balconies, I hate using them, but what can I do? Getting onto balconies is one thing, getting off them again can be dangerous. Most of them leave a convenient chair to stand on, if they haven't I take some small steps up with me.
Like Vince, my accident insurance wouldn't cover me for ladder falls. I don't have any personal accident cover now. Dai
