Have met the numbers but the cheques are a bit slow coming. Can't believe I got yours so quick :o

Like the fact that they are almost A4. Does it make you feel like you can afford to write out regular six figure cheques or do you just gave big handwriting

Not taking any more now (unless someone drops out which I doubt)

Tony

If you have followed any posts about Yell you will know the generel consensus is that it's a waste of money, but, apparently this may not be the case if you have insider information.

I have seen Pete's offer and the only benifit is that ihe has got it cheap though a bulk buy.

Yell is pants, however from experience I have got some good commercial work from it. At the price he is offering it for it is well worth a punt and is a good quality link to ones website.

Yell is pants if you don't know how and where to use it. This is the same for many other types of ad medium.

Sadly my past experiences with Yell have lead me to decide they will not ever have another penny of my hard earned  ;D
Not paid to be in book for past 3 years and coincidentally, they have been the best, busiest and most profitable i have had in 19 years  ::)

I thought you may have had some great secret when you first mentioned this deal. But you only go on about demographics and having a local number. Demographics you cant change and most areas have a mix anyway. Most of us that cover different areas have area codes for those areas anyway.

Not saying it is a bad deal, it's a good price. But thats all. You can't make a silk purse out of a sours ear.

I've never tried yell.com before but as Pete has experience in this field and is offering good prices for selected areas thought I'd give it a try.

My wife works in an office and she asked around and most people will search yell.com when looking for a service. Not scientific but enough for me to give it a go.

All the best,
Jason.

Had a chat with Pete today and he certainly has a few tricks up his sleeve  :)

Advised me not to part with any cash until i have put some changes in place.

I appreciate his honesty and i hope i can give it a try next year, at that price it has to be worth a punt.

Mark

The latter. Great broadband service here in the Maldives. :D

Just waiting on a couple of cheques to arrive (you know who you are) and then it will be booked hopefully this week and takes up to about 2 weeks to go live (sometimes sooner depending on busy the processing teams are).

Yes it's official, that poor Yorkshire lad's hard earned (down't pit) cash arrived first but the cheque itself was like one of those cheques you get presented when you win the pools. T'was huge :o
