Now your on the ball Halliday.
Just make sure you clean the whole area down as it will look odd when you have done the repair.  ;) ;)

Paul do you think just cleaning the arm will be Ok or should I spray the full arm?

I've already qualified with the customer that the colour match will be perfect  but won't be totally 'invisible' as the suite has aged with time and the colour will be as when the suite was new.

Mick the picture looks more like the back cushions rather than the arm. I would do a full clean to the chair/sofa what ever the picture is of before doing the repair/redye. Then I would feather the recolour dependant on how it looks as I do it, you may have to do a bigish area, just go on visual on spraying.

She shouldn't have used the Jif to get her makeup off either.

Mike as your going to get 250ml made up any way I would do the whole seat. You will find that then she will want the rest of the suite rejuvenating then. Another £150 upwards awaits your skills  :).

Got these kits from Roger and the leaher scent is amazing. That will get extra work for us   ;)

250ml of product seems like an awful lot to do a repair of this size.  We can change the colour of  a whole panel with 150ml BRIT.  Smaller sizes ie. 50ml are the usual size for repairs.

The key with this sort of repair is to put as little product on as possible to do the repair.  When too much product is used that is when it looks very different to the rest of the suite.

Doing whole areas other than just the area that needs repairing could lead to all sorts of added problems and on these quilted patterns each section would need doing individually as if you spray the whole area the stitching will also be coloured and this will look very different to the rest of the suite and any pigment that bleeds into the pleated areas will with most products stick the pleats together.
