websites??
« on: December 15, 2004, 07:28:02 pm »
Lady from Easy - space called me today offering to make up website for £250 + V.A.T. set up cost + £20 per month for on - going help with help to make sure that exposure is good on Google, MSM, Freeserve etc.etc..
Also help with Key words and phrases.
Also free software to help monitor traffic onto site.
Site can be altered as and whenever I want.
She made a big thing of getting Keywords & phrases right which she would help with. I have no website at present and am a bit of a technophobe but a 16 year old son compensates to some extent.
Any comments on this deal appreciated.
Or any info on what makes for good Web advertising.  Esp. on search engines.

£98 INCLUDING VAT. It took 3 days magic service. Try them webmaster@prestonswebhosting.comemail   the guy we dealt with is Mark Preston.

Iomart by the sounds of it??? I went with them a month or so ago and the jury is still out. Forget there designing its lame and you wont be happy due to it being so minimal and un accurate,so my brother sorted my site(IT pro) but there software is restrictive.
The one plus if there claims are true will be the search engines picking up your site but thats not yet the case >:(

I went with Iomart.

I know it sounds negative like all the other advertising suggestions lately but it didnt do nothing for me.

Recommendations & Repeat business its the only way in this business, that gets me 75% of my work.

Mike Halliday will tell you 4000 leaflets a month works, I wouldn't know never done it!

Steve,

I wouldn't say for one minute I'm a web wizard ;) but I do know how to get near the top of the search engines, and all for a lot less than £250 !

Cheers,

Doug
