Pick up in Business
« on: March 13, 2008, 05:57:03 pm »
This is a funny old game, been quiet on the phone for weeks and this weeks has been great, booked up for the rest of March nearly already. I have not been two weeks ahead for a long time.

I wish it would be steady rather than fast or slow.

Hope its picked up for everyone.

Yes, phone calls coming in faster now, quiet months for all businesses in Jan, Feb, except maybe loan sharks and off licences?...

I think the bad economic news, but also mostly the bad weather has had a big effect this winter, I mean who wants their carpets cleaned and left wet when its 3 degrees outside. plus they are are worried they will walk mud back in after.

i think a lot of us have had a slow start to the year, including me,
but a lot of guys have had the best start of the year ever
maybe they have just gone the extra mile, and its paid off
jan/feb next year, im going to put on my running shoes and go the extra mile as well, when it comes to marketing, i think i;ve targeted the wrong people this year, or just not spoken to the right person with the purse strings
anyhow things have picked up a lot, so lets hope by the CCSDO that well all be better off ;D ;D ;D

We are having a strange week really quite, but next week and into April looking ok though.

the phones arent ringing and the only work i am booking is my regulars that i have contacted.

I wonder if it is because of easter been early.

I dont think the economy has anything to do with been quiet, it is more likely to make us cleaners busier people are making do with what they have instead of splashing out on new.
I do however think that the weather has something to do with it, it has given out snow again for this weekend, once the weather picks up the spring cleaning will pick up. The phones were quiet last week but this week have gone mad booked up most of next week. Nothing booked at all for april as yet tho ???

Trends here in South Africa seem to follow what you guys experience except for this year.

We have been doing between 4 and 6 jobs per day non stop since Xmas. We've clocked up almost 600 hours on our TM for the last financial year. I have clocked up 50 hours just in March this year alone.

So our depressive market doesn't seem to be having an effect at all

Got first job for April. Guess when Monday 7th (CCDO day) ::)

There's a local guy I spoke to who said he will do it. I was going to pay him and leave my invoice with the Client who I have worked for before. Is this the best way to do it?
