Most of the work they did was in the design and construction of the frame.

but any engineering firm could make frame to go around a tank AND fit it, hell even some companies sell them off the shelf for the sizes of tanks we use

Maybe, and if you went to an engineering firm to get them to make you a system I would not consider that DIY.

Its not just a frame around a tank, I was concerned that it would be safe in a accident, and making sure of that, as it turns out, is not simple.  Actually I'm still not 100% convinced that it IS safe, even though it is hyper secure compared to some of the jobs I've seen on here.

my van was hit side on and my tank didnt budge a inch, was held down by 5000kg
ratchet straps the strapping is proof tested to 6 to 1 and the weakest components
the fittings are rated at 2 to 1. straps or anything fabricated are only as safe as the
persons knowledge when installing.

Simbo,

What have you covered your tank with? Is it for insulation purposes and is it any good? I use thermawrap insulation (double sided, silver foiled,.  bubble wrap)

I see you are using the George triggers on both your poles. How are you getting on with them? Do you get any tiredness in your hands/fingers? I've fitted them, but because I haven't switched to wfp yet, I haven't used it for the day yet. Feels to me like the perfect on/off flow controller.

(And yes, what brushes do you use, don't think I have seen them before.)

What are your findings? You can email me, so we can keep this thread on topic. Just click on my profile. :)

Thanks.

Mike G,  I have a customer who supplies and fits carpets and he gave me some of this underlay which basically has a type of hard foam in between the outer thin plastic exterior and is pretty strong. It is then just glued to tank with spray adhesive and looks pretty good i think. Also i don't get the condensaton all over the tank that i used to.
van is connect t 200 03 plate and love it
