"The Eclipse"
« on: December 07, 2004, 06:41:22 pm »
Nick told me he hoped to have these machines in yesterday, so has anyone got theirs yet?

If anyone in the North has one I would love to come and see it in action, the DVD was technical.

Has Steve Gunn got his?

Littlejack,

Apparently there was a delay due to a component problem, but they left The States yesterday

Please let me know how you get on with it.  It is one of the machines i am considering.

Thanks  P.S. There is a machine on E-Bay sorry I dont know how to put in a link.  It's £100 at the moment... it's in London but now the best bit... the seller says  "you can earn £200 an HOUR.....

Anyone in London got a room to rent, or am I undercharging?

This is the machine but its £1300 now. Must be the £200 an hour.

Len, if you earn that sort of money you probably live in an 18 bed detatched....lots of rooms to rent.

The Rhino Extractor on this link shouldnt hold a light to the Eclipse, although you can get them with duel 3 stage vacs and high psi pumps but still doubt it would be in the same league as an Eclipse.
One of the features i really like on the Eclipse is the dry vac bag, i imagine this and a kirby zip tool will be the business pre vacuuming upholstery :)

Paul,

You can do that with any HWE plus a dust-downer.

Steve,

I think you might be pleasantly surprised - without the heat exchanger it is lighter than a some less powerful machines  :D

It is not my machine if it was do you think I would sell it, if it were earning that per hour.

John don’t discourage Steve from the gym.

Steve just keep it in the back of the van and run your hoses from it (if you are close enough) it'll save your back!

As I Have said in another post I went to look at this very machine about 4 Weeks ago. He had it on sale then for £1,700.  The vendor lives in pimlico central london The reason he gave me for selling is that he has been offered a new job and does not want to do cc anymore. However after his claim that you can earn £200.00 an hour I would not belive anything he said.
What he is not telling you in his advert is that the machine is a personal import from the usa and will only run on 110v so you will need to carry a transformer in and out on every job. When I went to look at it he did not have one around so I was not able to start the machine up. Also I guess if a vac or pump goes you might have to send to usa for them.
It has twin two stage vacs. How would this compare with twin 3 stage vacs. Could you still run 50ft of hose.

I have no intention of buying, just couldn't believe the ridicolous hourly rate.

The seller on e-bay did reply confirming his claim to earn that amount, but said he didn't know if I could outside London....

I wonder whats on his tax return!!
