Ive just had the rep from this publication in my home for over 30 mins trying to convince me this is the way to go,it works like this,
The directory is A5 size and delivered to homes free, all the adverts have a freee phone no,

At first look its not brill, there is a lot of duplicated adds, first alarm bell rings

The directory he showed me first,hadnt been delivered to any homes yet!

Then he gave me the oxford/Bicester directory to look at, i called 3 cc in the directory, just to get there feedback,they all said, they get more calls asking what sort of response they get!!!

So, the rep left,without a fight,coudlt disspute my reasons,or argue his case further

It is my view,that this is at the least, a bit dubious

They  plan to deliver 80,000 copies in Northampton,not even a 3rd of the households!!

I had, what i can presume is the same company, come and see me, and i did exactly the same as you, phoned other people in the book, and got the same responce as you did, so i said no thanks mate, so then he gave it me for free, i didnt have to pay for a thing. He was convinced that i would be so impressed with the responce that i would go in next year. So i thought i'll have some of that, i'll be quids in!!! That was six months ago and i havent had a phone call yet!!

When he contacts me next year, i dont think the conversation will be lasting very long.

I entered i one of these last year, everyone paid but it was never published, be careful, I think it is a scam, the company closed straight away.

I also entered into one of these directories cost me about £120. I have only ever seen one copy of this dir and that is the one they sent me.

I had a rep come round and I decided its not for me.

Had another call yesterday from a lady telling me I can have a full colour whole page for £100!

She seemed a bit too desperate to sell.

Ask for a copy of a directory that is already published so you can call the advertisers to ask how it is working for them, then watch the rep's face and listen to his/her answer.

It is a scam, I did it 3 years ago and it was never published, cost me £350.00.

I even went to their head office in N.Wales and was prepared for anything while I was there, this is no lie, I was met by 2 other blokes outside who were there looking to get their money back same as me.

One had been shafted for £3000.00, the man behind the scam raced off in a Land Rover through a back door while his collegue called the Police to get us removed from the premises.

I kept in touch with them after, none of us ever got our money back.

Do not go near these people, put ad in herts area about 3 years ago cost about £600. Book never came out, chased it up and the firm was in the hands of recievers. Got all the paperwork but never bothered to chase it.they showed me other booklets in other areas of the country that were supposedly doing well,took me to the cleaners on that one.Also had alot of phone calls from another scam around the same time about a website for people who had worked for care homes, hospitals,schools etc.They kept calling me for 18 months when i asked for the website address they couldnt give me one.Even i know you could get basic website up and running for about £200.
