OK, so this might sound like a very basic question, but I've never changed my resin before, so here goes...

Going to be ordering some resin in the next day or 2, I just wondered... do you pour it into the main body of the cannister? And how much goes in? Do you fill it right to the top?

Tis mains straight into Merlins, through a post filter then into the DI... its a large DI, not sure what size, but quite large.

Ah right, does the DI set up depend on the RO?

i dont know for sure is it one of those big blue buggers or a little clear plastic thing that came with a plastic wrench(like an immersion heater wrench)

I refilled mine yesterday.  I emptied the old out, rinsed it, refilled to top with new resin (not compacted down, just shaken to settle)

Seems to work fine.  TDS back to 000 from 004...

Thanks for that What DI do you have, the little one or the big blue cannister? How much resin does it hold?

True but also you should leave room for the resin to mix again when you need to shake it.

I've only got a small one!! ooh er missus. lol

I take the centre rod section out slowly, (otherwise it has a tendancy to come apart). Then empty and rinse the vessel. Refill with resin up to about 2-3 inches from the top. Finally, re-insert the rod in a twisting motion to ease it through the resin.

Make sure you give the thread on both vessel and cap a rinse before trying to screw together. Otherwise you'll struggle to get the thread all the way in creating potential leaks.
