I have a Renault Master 3500kg  2.8 DTI Long Wheelbase Medium Roof bought it new in 2000 apart from tyres and one nearside front wheel bearing no other problems.
I do think some people need to consider PAYLOAD on their van of choice some of the smaller vans don't have a great one. You get a truckmount, full water tank,  chemicals, hoses , vac's etc and if you insulate and line it out this also adds weight you are soon creeping over the MAX PAYLOAD without knowing. Just worth thinking about when buying a new van you might have a portie now but might want to go to a truckmount in 12 months.
