Print trade is the same - i used to earn £200 a week in bonus alone twenty five years ago! £25000 a year then on average. The last five years i took a pay cut every year. The money was still reasonable but the lifestyle was crap - treble shifts, expected to work overtime when they wanted it horrible stinky dusty conditions and i hardly saw my kids. With this job i earnt nothing yesterday and will earn nothing today but what the hell.

i think there is a difference between window cleaning , and running a small business ,
which i beleive is what most of us do ? .

from most of what is discussed on here , the majority would be succesfull running a small business be it w/c or something else !

Doesn't reflect self employed people.

Also, these figures will include Ltd companies whose directors pay themsleves £100 a week.

Finally, many w/c firms pay minumum wage with a bonus. Bonus not included.
