I may be wrong but I don't think Alex would just buy a design, a protor type would have to be built first then tested and then judged if it was better than any of the poles already out there, only then can Alex make a decision if it was going to make it worth his while, but Like I say I might be wrong.

like me you would have to field test it first, my new pole has been test fielded for over four months now, this way you can sort all the problems out before you can convince a supplier to invest cash in it, good luck with it dave,

Yes we would consider buying a pole design.  The first stage would be for you to send a non-disclosure contract for us to sign.  This would mean that any information you shared with us was confidential and couldn't be used by us without prior consent, that is, if the product was unique and not similar to other design ideas already held by us or others.  We would then to have to assess if the product was a) unique to you  b) a product that we were interested in  and c) able to be protected, thereby making it worth our while paying you for it.

If all this criteria was met and we liked the product, we could then arrange for a prototype to be made to begin field testing.  Once a prototype had been used for a suitable period of time we could then discuss buying the design.  If the prototype had to be modified in any way during the course of our testing, this would naturally dilute the value of your original design. Once all of the above had been assessed, we could discuss the market value of your design.

Payment could be made in one or two ways, firstly a one off fee for all design rights that you hold and rights to produce the product.  The other way is to buy a license from you either on a permanent or a renewable basis.  This would give you a set fee for each product produced.
