Nutters wanting last minute jobs
« on: December 18, 2007, 05:49:17 pm »
Had lots of last minute specials today ringing me up. Can you fit me in this week.
Now working all the way through the week end.

Justin, how right you were.

Why do people leave it to the last minute all the time.

I've been giving silly prices as well today and they have all taken it. I am fed up and ready for a week or so off and just ready to shut down. I cant believe they are still calling this late.

Are you not pleased that you run a thriving business and that you are in demand? I would be, whether you see them as nutters or valued customers, it's nice to be asked.

You do have a point Glenda.

Why don't you get the busy Huntingdon Carpet Cleaners to pass on their enquiries to you between now and New Year?

Someone copped a good one in Reading yesterday. I didn't call back quick enough but it turns out the job requirement was 70sq/m and went for £310. As it was I couldn't have fitted it in anyway.
Wasn't you was it Neil G.......(TA Fisher appartments)

It was not me but have just picked up a good one in Wokingham for Upholstrey 6 seats and 4 bedroom house, Settled for £400 cash. Its going to be a long day tomorrow as I am not getting to this one until 4pm. 8am start for me tomorrow.

It does amaze me though that people are still looking for cleaning so close to Christmas. It would be the last thing on my mind so close to christmas.

That's ok then because whoever got it is not only getting £310 but told the guy from TA Fisher to allow 24 hours to dry  :o :o :o :o
I did tell him that he knows who to call if this all goes wrong  ;D

Apart from the fact that Christmas decorations tend to get in the way I have often found that the very late bookings can often be more trouble than they are worth - complaining about the price/ qualtiy of job or simply having unrealistic expectations or even complaing that you can't fit them in at a more convenient time of the day to suit them!

I thought I had finished yesterday but I´m ashamed to say I´ve just cleaned a lounge carpet for the promise of sex.  :P :-[

Still it should keep the missus quiet until next year.  ;D ;)

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas all.  :-*

Now where´s that Scotch.
