Hi,
I've recently posted a topic in the general cleaning forum asking advise on starting up a company doing mattress cleaning. Looking over the forum and from advice given it appears that there isn't realy much of a market out there yet. Some have advised that its probably best to have it as an add on to say carpet cleaning or even 'partenering' up with carpet cleaners, maid services, dry cleaners etc...
From a carpet cleaners point of you, how many of you would consider offering the services of a mattress cleaner for say 15 or 20% of the profit? Bearing in mind that if an average house had 2 single and one double beds cleaned, which could come to about £90 or so, you could make £13-18 for just pasing details on.
Also if i decided to do mattress cleaning as an add on, what would you recommend in the ways of equipment the best way to go...i'm thinking something which would be quick drying as not to attract dust mites, mould etc, and something which would also kill dustmites and deep clean...would the rotovac be suffice, or maybes texatherm??
One last thing, would you recommend to go on a trainig course to learn how to use this equipment and if so which one.
Any Guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks
