I was out at 6.30 this morning yes it was very cold,just get your self wrapped up and you`ll be ok,hat,gloves and a decent coat

my first winter too, but the car was frozen up and i had to do my driving test at 10 am so by the time i got to my round to do the last 8 or so due, it would be getting dark at 4 so not today thankyou- nice to choose when to work though!

im sure theres worse weather to come for next time - mid december next due. Oh well

Had to start with a little trad work yesterday and I left my gloves behind so my hands went numb within minutes of starting. Usually this only lasts for about half hour though, then my circulation kicks in and I'm warm as toast for the rest of the day unless it's extremely windy then the wind chill can be hard to beat.

I reckon the same as M & C, the coldness or numbness normally only lasts half an hour tops and then you are ok.  I always say work harder and faster if you feel cold and you'll soon be ok.  The only exception to that is when you have a -something ridicules wind chill to contend with.  Get those long jons on.

if this is your fisrt winter it wont get any better after 16 of them. The older i get the colder it gets, welcome to the winter.

Wish I did.... nah, just never really felt the cold - kinda like it really

Sometimes the cold can be refreshing.

Its that cold easterly that probably gets to most people, it does me, WIND CHILL is the killer. But having said that, if my hands get cold and wet, particularly when using the ladder, theres nothing to beat warming them up than getting on with the job. You have to go through that burning of the hands stage, I call it the burn, feels like someones hitting you with a hammer; but cold ladder after...............no worries, the circulation sorts it all.
