Judging by the smiley used in marks reply he was being humorous. We often see replys that can be taken out of context because of the written word, then again replys can often be explosive and in the same humour or lack of it.  8)

Matt I don't mean to come over as bitter or a know all, and I know you get p'd off with digs. That's just how I am but I haven't got an attitude.
Yes i've had digs before under other names, but have been quite impressed with your recent progress. You now have a van and work a lot harder. I appreciate this is none of my business anyway but I hate wasted potential.

Different view points are not always pleasant , but a good kick up the jacksee doesn't do anyone any harm. As regards the HNC that is a lot of hard work, something I haven't got, and envy.

You are one of the nice guys on here but so are Luke, Jeff, and Jeff Brimble, and I've had digs at all of you.Believe it or not I'm here to help, and if you knew me you would be very surprised.

I get your point, I took it as a joke myself and replied with another. you are write in saying many things can be taken out of context ect, at the end of the day you take it with a pinch of salt, if not people leave the forum, pointless getting wound up about it IMO alot of it is said in jest.

I get try to get on with everyone. everyone has different opinions, if everyone respected others opinion then everyone would get on IMO, but some take it offensively others not, thats what makes us all different.

We all want different things. I'm in a hurry and it's a failing that I can be abrupt.
Davo is not a wc but his grasp is brilliant. We are all a mixture.

Look at Ian, very sensible, good businessman lots of experience, respected by squeaky etc  but look at his last post, if you only knew how that reads to me.

Stupid.
"I've often contemplated"
You only get one life.

Let's look at you WW.
You had the name Window Washers ten years ago. What made you choose it?
And yet you have only just gone WFP. Have you any Idea what a missed opportunity this was?
Are you prepared to admit you were an idiot?

Missed opportunity there have been many, then you have to learn from them, if you dont thats what makes you IMO an idiot.
I have just gone wfp you are right, why did it take me so long, to be honest I didnt think it would take off as much as it did, all I heard was complaint after complaint about the work it produced (when in fact it was the user doing it wrong), I have been looking at it for about three years, my wake up call was laying in a road thinking I was dying 4 days before christmas, the thought of not seeing my kids and wife again made me start thinking harder about other aspects of my life, one was the danger of going up and down a ladder everyday this was solved with wfp also being told if I fell just from three rungs I would be in bed for the rest of my life, so I  and got a system,

You are so right "You only get one life"

Registering the name many years ago really was a sign right infront of my face I just could not see it at the time, but new it was the right thing to do sounds odd but I remember it well.

Was I an idiot yes I guess I was missing an opportunity that I now am doing could have been done many years ago, I prefer to look forward not back, cant change the past but the future is in my hands  ;)

All you new guys, look at this thread and what we are honestly saying,  OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS  ;) , but 10 years ago it would have cost 22K off the only  1 supplier, now its £1-2K off many. Get off the ladder and save your life.

So- I just read squeaky telling Ian how to play cricket ;D- what do want now? The ball has been bowled to you ww, are you to pass it off, or knock it out of the ground?

Think about it. You were an Idiot, are you going to let it happen again?

Ian Window washers, what Mr solubility is saying is that hot water fed pole is a fantastic opportunity, why??

Because its new its PURE HOT WATER, and the customers identify with hot water being superior method of cleaning things. What does that mean to you as a well established business??

It means you have yet ANOTHER advantage over your competitors who are either trad cleaners or wfp. It means you can clean more quickly, it means for a business which has good turnover (And I presume a good bottom line) the investment is minimal in terms of risk.

Ian you CANNOT LOSE, ITS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE for a man in your situation. You can either sit and watch it happen from the side lines, the same way you did with water fed pole, or you can join in and make the extra money while the going is good. One certainty in life and particularly in business is NOTHING STAYS THE SAME FOR EVER.

You could spend (for arguments sake) £3k on retro fitting a Hot water sytem to your current system or buy a decent Tv. Its all down to choice.

Cheers for that Mark, that made sence, I have never said I will not get a hot water system, will I research it more yes while I am learning the ins and outs of wfp in general, I cant see at this point that it would make any difference to my speed in wfp.
investing as you say 3k could be done tomorrow if I thought for a second it would make me more money in the few months which I really do doubt, as said I am still learning the ropes on wfp. I can see this having an edge on competition, but if talking face to face with a client I seem to do ok, did against wfp when I was trad and the same now I am wfp over trad.

But I have taken on board what you say as it make total sence to me.

It strikes me mr Window Washers, that you will this week have an opportunity to clean in freezing cold rain for the first time.

I am sure you will be eyeing a hot system with envy, even if it makes you not a penny more.

That's the effect it will have on me for the fourth wfp winter. Hopefully the last with cold water.

When it rains it is warm, last week it frooze for about 10 mins, if it is that cold I guess hot water on freezing glass would break it, I could be wrong on that, just a thought. I am used to cold winters done them many years with a freezing cold ladder and no gloves, lease a pole if not metal  ;)

Its called evolution, staying one step ahead of your competition. Whether you think its a good idea or not is upto you. Proctor and Gamble , Unilever multi billion pound companies are muppets, they keep bringing out new stuff thats better than the last, why dont they skip a few steps  and bring new products new formulaes out every 10 years would save us all a fortune.

But us muppets (consumers) want something better, cleans whiter, smells fresher, cuts through grime better etc etc. Do what you want to do, its your choice, but dont stand on the sidelines making smart comments about individuals who want to move ahead.

And just to keep your smart head working... WE'RE ALL SALESMENS DREAMS.
