Spotting Chemicals
« on: November 10, 2004, 04:36:34 pm »
[center]With most of us using the micro splitters more now I wonder how much of the old used chemicals are now redundant?

Or are they?

For spotting most are using no.3 and ecco spotter.
So thinking about what chemicals you have used this week what are your most daily used products

Apart from the 2 you have mentioned, I have only used Red RX on one job recently.
99.99% of the time i am using No.3 and No.5.
VERY SUCCESSFULLY

Grasshopper,

Alchemy has its place when stepping across the bounds of what is normally considered possible  ;)

Now begone,  young whippersnapper, lest I change thee into a frog (or maybe a womble)  ;D

Chris,

Had you used micro-splitters 300 years ago, you'd be old enough to be my dad  ;D

(Now there's a frightening thought, never mind the flames)

Craftex Catalyst with Craftex Citrus Fresh (with DF machine) excellent stuff!  Solutions No2 at 10:1, Craftex Citrus Booster.  Can somebody tell me the difference between No 2 diluted 3:1 and No 3?  I can't any difference.

Looks like it may be a good idea to invest in a prochem spotting kit as it covers most of the stains you are likely to come up against.

Do any other companies sell such a kit?

Where would be the best place to buy the Prochem kit.

Had a number of 'spotting kits' on the van in the past but none had quite the same IMPACT with customers as my latest.  :o
Solutions CarpetBox.....................comprehensive and strong carry case with space for signwriting, ALWAYS draws comments and people even ask where they can buy the box alone ::)

The box sounds great but im more interested in the chemicals inside it.
You say its a comprehensive kit. The prochem kit covers nearly all stains.
Does the solutions kit ?

Hi Guys

NO3 is 25% stronger than No 2 and is specifically a spotter you cannot dilute no2 to match it

No3 and Eco spotter will negate the need of most other chemical spotting agents but not all!!

Best regards nick

Nick,

Presumably one can turn 3 into 2 by dilution,  or are they different formulations?

Cheers,

Doug

Hi Nick,

So if 3 is 25% stronger than 2  , but is a different formulation on which criteria is it 25% stronger?

Cheers,

Doug
