HOW OFTEN DO YOU REPLACE YOUR MACHINE?
« on: October 14, 2007, 07:00:31 pm »
I am sure I read somewhere on here today that one of you changes his carpet cleaning machinery every year.

I would like to know others views on this.

How often do YOU change YOUR machine?

for what reasons do you change at that point in time?

Same as changing a van, because you have to or you can afford to get a newer/better machine.

Its just that I saw one guy on here say he changes every year.....and it got me thinking...why?
Do they start having expensive problems after a year?
Is it because of a new supa dupa model comes out every year?
Is it to do with depreciation?,
or can get a good trade in?

Still wondering........................

joe, if a models good enough, it certainly captures my interest, i tracked the cfr pro-500 p/h for about a year before finally comitting & have not looked back since, the micro-splitting & recycling system appeals to me, i was glad to get away from conventional carpet cleaning, cause of using irretants & certain solvants. also depreciation certainly plays its part, plus expenses etc! going down to amtech on wednesday for s & s removal coure, gonna gem them about the black max "powr-flite"   freshi

It's effectively the same spec as a ninja (bit smaller) but for a 1/3 of the cost.

I thought you were a CFR fan?

It looks fine - price in dollars is attractive - think I'll go live in the States!

i'm a cfr fan & basicly its the same principle, i think cfr & powr-flite fight out of the same corner. i just felt that the powr-flite 400 was better than the cfr alternative. both parties use cfr cleaning solutions, use the same spotting products, one-step stuff & are patented by perfect heat.  oh i truly love cfr, kissy kissy kissy. :-*   freshi

there really good, i use excell a on upholstery with fine line as the pre-spray, synthetic carpets i use excell with premium as the pre-spray, for neglected carpets & needlepunch i use reclaim intank & pre-spray, restaurant/pub carpets enzo soil one intank & pre-spray, defoam, deo-reo 30 & 40 odour neutralizers, shut out stain blocker goes intank & clean as normal, excell a or excell on wool carpets depending on the soiling with premium as the pre-spray, plus their spotting products, which are: super solve, pop-out, bw stain away, enz out, gel spotter & zap-it. imo great products. freshi
