I always do frames,.. and cills too downstairs. It looks so much better and only takes 2 or 3 minutes extra per house.

well, i class a window as the whole thing...and im a window cleaner not a glass cleaner,

windows, frames sills and doors everytime.....
I think it looks disgusting when people simply do the glass, how can anyone walk away leaving filth like that on a window is beyond me.

and most of the dirt on the sills....... comes from window cleaners who fail to mop up.

well, you asked lol  ;D ;)

Everything but...................,

I was speaking to a wfp er who does the glass, cills and only the side frames. Never the frame above the glass.

Maybe that should be a option in the vote?

I clean glass, sills, sides and frames (if UPVC, if wooden / metal they just get a wipe).  Its a great selling point too, as the customer is very pleased after the first clean, especially if they have not been done in a while.

It takes longer to get spiderwebs, moss, mould, ground in crap (usually giving a grey appearance) off the frame / sills but after the first clean it is easy.

The whole lot, I treat the top frame the same as the glass on upvc. Tend to avoid the frames on old sash windows though. Quite often I will run the brush along the guttering on a garage/porch if the rest of the gutters are mingin just to show the customer what the rest of his house could look like.

I normally only do the glass and the sills, and the upper frames occasionally get a wipe if they look dirty. Unless they're brown, of course.

UPVC - I do everything every time but top frames with vents every other time.
Wood/Ali - glass and sills.
It's a game of three halves!

I just price high and if they grumble i tell them it includes the frames. most of the time the frame gets it even without trying. when i cleaned trad style frames were always double [10 pound house, 20 pound inc frames] and sometimes more depending on what car they had in the drive. Its great now im wfp [ 3rd week today] cos for old customers who pay double for frames on a regular occasion its a hell of alot quicker for the same price as doing it trad. BONUS!
