I cant find a post about this subject so thought I may aswell start one up.

What Waivers do you get your customers to sign (ie roof, scratches), if you could up load them for others that are new and dont yet do this that would be a help for everyone including me. I was reading a post about a roof and a customer saying a window cleaner had done damage which he had'nt if he had the waiver it would not be a problem. So all help would be great guys and girls.

A waiver would be good, but would our customers sign it. I found some of what Luke was saying unrealistic.
BTW did you get your wife to sign a pre nupt just in case you ever make it big in window cleaning?
I bet she didn't, and neither will our customers.

i saw the post and decided to check with my insurance company if i was insured to working on a building ! i am but not the glass so now i know

I know for a fact that Jeff makes his customers sign waivers because he's mentioned it before. And probably so do you.

i got told by a customer that i had worn a hole in her conservatory roof after cleaning it the month before. I just laughed it off. (And subconsciously marked her card as a potentially awkward customer.)
I would verbally mention something beforehand now if i was gonna stand on tiles or flat roof or something but i doubt if i would get a domestic to sign anything.
I would imagine commercial work is completely different. But i don't do any commercial.

I always get a "Scratched Glass Waiver" signed before doing any builders cleans. I've never had problems getting it signed. If the job looks problematic, eg. extremely dirty, lots of cement and plaster on the glass, I always bring the customer around and show him/her a couple of existing scratches (Always there if you look hard enough), and say that cleaning the glass will undoubtedly uncover more.
I make sure its known that glass gets damaged in transport, during fitting, during construction,.. but never during cleaning!
