I can see I'm going to struggle this week.

I've got about £10 done and it's rained all day.
Had 3 people say "no thanks, it's wet", then I gave up.
I've also lost another 2 houses because of wfp.

Just fed up. :(

rog, follow the example of some on here

tell them, its either your way, or the highway  ::) ::) ::)
With new customers that's set out from the start, but 80-90% of my round is 20 years old if you include Ian doing them before me.
They've never been done in the wet, and if I suddenly say that from now on they'll be done in all weathers I know what the answers will be. :-\

From reading your posts over previous months Squeaks it sounds as though you have a round full of miserable buggers.

not iff you offer a rain guarantee, that if they are not happy you come back free.
How can they moan at that?

with that attitude was I agree with you, you would lose customers  :P

I'm guessing you don't like getting wet and I dont blame you, I just hate being sat doing nothing when there is no reason you cant work in the rain, customers come round to the idea, if they say leave it, then at least you still earn something and at the end of the day something is defo better than nothing is it not?

I always work in the rain. If it's heavey like today the water proofs go on.

Most were in & i didn't get one complaint, if i got a "no thanks" they would be dumped.
As windowwashers said, "give a rain guarantee" then they cant moan, i do & in 2 years
have not had not this time or a call to go back.  ;D

Well no, generally I don't need the money that bad, but I've got yet another tax bill due last wednesday. ;D
Oh dear, they'll have to wait even longer, I can't afford it this week now. ;D

I don't want to work in the rain anyway.
You shouldn't be that desperate in this job.

It's no panic as far as takings go overall, because I'm a week short on my round anyway.
It just means that I've got something to do on my quiet week. ;)
I'll still do the same over the month.

It just feels a pain at the time.
I don't care about losing the odd day here and there.
I just hate it being a monday!
I like to get a decent monday done, then that's the week half-sorted.

I must be in the minority then. I get up, go sort the van out and cant wait to get out. I had seriously bad motivation when i was on ladders. 3 years of doing that, and a year of wfp. I pick up customers every single day. Got 5 today, everyday i get at least 2 new ones. I work hard monday to thursday and have 3 days with my little one.

I make myself earn at least £100 a day.

Thing that helps me out is where else are you gonna earn £100 a day? and thats at least £100. a shop at £6 a hour is like £40 a day...that is rubbish

You must live in an area with bugger all window cleaners.

I've had about 5 or 6 new ones all year.
