Yes it does a good job but would suggest you consider  other machines as you can hire Rug Doctors.

Mine has been rebranded  to Carpetmedic  but only use it for flats etc.

Steve, it's a bit more expensive to set up and a lot harder physically but you have the advantage of a ready made client list.

The machine you mention would be very slow compared to others and pretty hopeless for upholstery cleaning.

I have used Rug Doctors many times in my rental properties and I personally think they are great apart from having to empty the tank every two minutes.

Also, if you talk to anyone who rents them out (Homebase etc) they will probably tell you that the machines are virtually indestructable.

Having said all that I have now sold mine and bought a bigger machine as i now clean carpets professionally rather than in my own properties.

Window cleaning is a lot harder physically try carrying and going up and down a ladder for 8 hours plus carrying 15 litres of water in a bucket all day and then you have the weather to consider.

If I cleaned windows I would use poles as I did 24 years ago and they've improved a lot since then

If you new anything about waterfed poles you would no its not as easy as it looks try using a 24ft pole for 3or 4 hours.

I found Rug Doctor fine for upholstery.

My complaint is you cannot use standard tools or fittings

Vibrating Brush excellent for aggitation.

I would also suggest you look at www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk they do give training with their machines

Only going by what the guys post on the w/c thread, the pole I used 24 years ago was at least 24 feet long, aluminium and was used with a T bar and squeegee. It was only used, as I did'nt like ladders, something to do with the inner ear !

I have used loads of machines and for part time, cleaning would recommend the Sabrina Maxi, but with a 25 foot hose and brass couplings, also, by changing the wand to a single jet, you will have similar performance to a Ninja on the primary vacuum only.
