This poll will be based on the business being professionally marketed with press release, leaflet distribution and a new Transit with full vinyl body wrap.
Your opinions are greatly valued as experienced carpet cleaners

How long is a piece of string ?  Too many variables to be considered to give an accurate figure and one of the most critical factors would be the proposed pricing structure and the USP to attract people to your service, rather than Tom's, Dick's, or Harriet's !

I think if the marketing is right then being a new starter to this business shouldn't be at a disadvantage ! I know of guys doing realy well in there first year and all because there marketing strategies have been well proven.
there again I myself do eceptionally well from Yellow pages adverts where some will slag it off because they arnt doing as well

I know a guy, I wont mention his name but he lives in the north yorkshire area, He gets better prices than most carpet cleaners I know of , he was charging £150 for a three piece suite ten years ago,
He is well trained an NCCA member also trained in IICRC and woolsafe and restoration work, in fact he has made an absolute fortune from carpet cleaning
and the point I am making here is he is a maketing guru he thrives on Marketing
His main hwe last time i spoke to him was a rug doctor and he had a couple of dry-fusion machines, he had bought a truckmount but diddn't like it and so went back to his rug doctor

regards Stu Clark

I do not know if its you who have mentioned him before but as a former Rug Doctor user  I am interested in how he markets himself. I thought he must be in the lowe price end but obviously not.

I presume he has cleaners working for him

Just to put peoples mind at rest - it isnt me. I'm a good cleaner but rubbish when it comes to marketing. Perhaps what I mean is I prefer the more organic approach , that is letting work come in more naturally through word of mouth and repeat. After 18 yrs I suppose  it should be!

Call me old fashioned but if he works by himself and only has a receptionist why would he need 3 rug doctors?

Hi

Quote
charges  120- 150 pounds for a 12 x 15 carpet

For that kind of rate i would expect a first class protector & a guarantee to return within say 6 months if thay have a spillage.

So added value.

still good going though.
