If you're on a budget get a used Transit or something if you can't afford Vivaro/Trafic.

Can't go wrong with a tranny.(so Tosh tells me ;D)

You could go to that place on the brighton rd at wilmington,or the one just up from the golden cross pub just outside hailsham although that one looks a bit like a bomb site. The one at wilmington looks your best bet as most are around the 60000 mile mark.

I did actually, but a bit slow.

You meant as in "See the match last night?" when he's talking to the Waterways production team outside the pub.

Am I right? ;)

No, in the latest series (he's living in the static caravan) walks into his house thats being built and asks one of the builders, just before doing a 'cockney walk'....classic comedy :P

Friend of mine has a 400 liter upright tank in a Combo, seems to be fine. Not sure what the exact payload is but I think its 600-650kg. I'm not a big fan of the Combos, they seem to rust really easily. I have an S reg (1999) Peugeot Partner with a 400l flat tank in and its just right. Good van too, not a spot of rust on it and the engine is smooth as anything.

Why are payload weights so hard to find and so vague, when they're such an important figure?!

I dunno sheep, but i've just parted with 5 k for a combo,2002 with 21,000 on the clock,ex NHS van. I was happy until i've been reading bout the rust issues. I'm hoping 3 coats of protekta will get me thru this.
Failing that, the first sign of rust and i'll be getting shot to one of the newbies on here  ;D

I had one a while ago and I can't say it had any rust problems. The piece above the windscreen on the old version rusts a bit but a bit of hammerite soon sorts that out. On the other hand I had a Mercedes Vito a without a doubt it was the worst vehicle I have ever owned, but I bet lots of people have got them and may well think the are the bees knees. Sometimes you just get a wrong un.
