Hi Tartan

Whats the height of the pole when fully closed?

Did you use it on ground floor windows & Doors etc.

Thanks

They told me they had a couple in.
I went with the cheap fg 17' xtel.
If thats as promised, then me too.

Hi Clive

I think the 17ft should be easily manageable and sounds like a good inexpensive pole.

The problem with the Gf x-tel on the 24ft is that they are apparently very whippy and this is what I believe causes the extra strain on your back. A more rigid lightweight pole should be a big improvement especially for lifting off the windows when rinsing.

Still haven’t got my hand in my pocket and I have two busy days this week with quite a few 3 story houses.  :(

What you need wayne is a pole with removable sections but still telescopic. don't know if the x-tel's do this but facelift poles do. So basicaly you only use the number of sections you need, add sections for higher jobs & take them off for normal use. I have a 44ft carbon facelift but use it at 24ft 95% of the time for all tops & bottoms, i only use my little pole twice a month now & this is only on 2 conservatories with very, very tight acsess.
A 24ft carbon facelift is just a dream to use & has a base section not much thicker than a broom handle. expensive? yes, quite, worth it? even more so, once used you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. ;)

macmac were did you buy your facslift,

Cherubs cleaning you can get a facelift pole direct from facelift or try cleantech.co.uk

Just checked the cleantech site and the 60ft pole has 8ft sections and the 44/34ft have 6 ft sections just for your information
