I know you know prochem Ian so for the chairs you'll get a good result with multi pro or fabric restorer (again leave some good dwell time and let the chemicals do the work as you cannot agitate as aggressivly. Hwe with fibre & fabric

Hey pete how's it going. good to hear from you. Hope things are ok working as a sole trader now. I know that after i have cleaned half a dozen of these this post will look silly to me but its just beginners nerves.

How about the pricing, do you charge more or less with commercial. how do you charge for the upholstery. what should i be looking for 45 chairs, bench seat for 40

Hi Ian

Yeah its going well. Only been trading properly for a couple of weeks and have quite a bit booked in already and the kids love it by the sea (even if it is always raining). If the custy will pay £2 per chair (and put it to them like that as it doesnt sound alot you'll be doing well for the time it will take) and the bench you can pro rata that. You said 400 sq feet for the carpet, is it quite  small pub as that doesnt seem alot anad remember pubs open every day so you really should be doing it after they close (unless you have a few driers).

Are you going to the CCDO?

Pete

Ian your worrying to much , at the beginning of the month i had never cleaned a pub in me life , done 17 so far with another 2 booked ,  use Blitz or chemspec Enz - All   Regarding pricing look at the job and work out how long it will take then charge a hourly rate

Ian

John's suggestion of Chemspec Enz is right. I only started using it recently and it is very good as a pre-treatment(is a powder too so goes a long way). If you want to know for sure Ring Chemspec (you'll find number easily) and ask for Richard he is the gov there and very helpful. He even sent me one of those small coffee flasks as a freebie which I have wanted for ages.

there is a big thread running with that title. Woodman is organising it and it would be good for the likes of you and me who are still at our early stages and wanting to learn. I have booked a room at the cock hotel. Its in leighton Buzzard beds on the 6th Sep. Come down we'll learn a bit and have a bit of a laugh.

Everyone prices diffrently but i work by sq meters and charge between £1.50-£2.00 per depending on how long it will take. Everyone will tell you to price on how long it takes but thats fine if you have done a job like that before but if you have'nt do it this way. Pick sections and work your Sq metre from that.

the ccdo day is a number of presentation of techniquies and products an is on the 6th so book the hotel for the 6th and I'll buy you a beer or is it a cider for you?
