I hardly ever do protection on upholstery. But a lady wants to have her suite protected, and I was wondering what to charge per seating position. BTW Im on the South Coast.

As I havent seen the suite yet I dont know how many seating positions there are. (I forgot to ask on the phone)

So you don't normally ask them then whether they want protector? Interested to know why you don't.

If it's suitable for protector expalin the benefits and sell it to them.

I would charge 50% of the  clean price or a bit less if I sensed it was over their budget.

I usually dont push the protector as I feel that adding onto the cost of the cleaning will be too much for people.( I am still trying to build my client base and dont want to put too many people off).
I usually charge £25 - £ 30.00 per seating position.,-just cleaning.

If it goes well tomorrow, and it should be easy to apply? I am using aerosole sprays from Alltec. I will think again about pushing the protector a bit more.

Get them to commit to a suite clean. Then just ask if they want protector, if they say no you have lost nothing.

Read all the posts on here about applying it properly and the right type for the job.

Say you charge £100 for a suite, then say protector on top will be £40. That's at least £30 pure profit for asking and 15minutes applying.

At point of quote you should always explain all your services, as some custys will always think about the rest of there home while you are there, I make it a point at time of quote to give price and leave it up to them to decide, but you should really get your self a sprayer using aerosol's look's cheap and custys will think I might be able to buy it mightself, and would have been a lot cheaper to do myself.
