 any one throw any light on this?
i have just been talking to somebody in usa about the prowler, he seems to think that the wand required needs a bypass valve for this machine , is this the case?

The wand which comes with the Prowler has a bypass fitted. The bypass helps prevent it bypassing when no water is passing through the pump, as with any truckmount. It is not totally nescessary but does help to preserve water. There is also a bypass on the outlet side of the machine which can be cranked open a little if using a non-bypass wand or handtool. This ensures a flow of water through the pump at all times preventing it overheating.

I use my westpak 4 jet wand with the prowler no bypass and no problems

I use a wonderwand with the prowler with no problems. If the job is fiddly and the wand has to be put down often I open the valve on the front of the machine as John says and it works fine.

Fred does it make much difference using the wonder wand

I Like it Steve. It enables you to make really slow passes or leave the wand still over a spot and really flush it out without soaking the carpet. Also because you can keep the water flowing like that the prowler seems to dump less, if at all depending on the job.
