Converting van and having fun.
« on: July 04, 2007, 10:07:49 pm »
Hi ,

I  am just converting the van so i can simply run a hose out... to pole as most of you do,... i use a backpack all the time and i know there are pros and cons, but i want to use both the van mount and the backpack...  at the moment its like this....

when i go out tomorrow i can only use the van mount... as i  have a female hoselock on the backpack...which has a half inch pipe on it and  my poles have the threaded converter from pole hose to hoselock ..male.. so can i buy a  6 millimetre with a hoselock female on it?

i am very confused... as always.

i also bought one of them snap on taps... with pole hose to microbore threads on ... and it aint a bit of good to me as i needed 2 one for each pole.... then i still cant use the back pack.  should i have to.... hope it bloody rains tomorrow now so i can sort it all.... the only thing is its once again internet buying and waiting days for things i need now.... does anyone buy these bits in high street shops or anywhere other than internet sites.... its driving me mad  ::)... most trades people nip out , buy..and and fix things..

anyway had my moan but i not looking forward to mix and match in the morning. ;D

Gazza

try pushing the microbore into a piece of normal 1/2" hose about 4" long, then tighten it on with a jubilee clip or similar, then just connect hozelok female to that as normal.
