I've heard that monofliment brushes scrath plastic con roofs. Is this correct and is theere any brushes that will scratch Cills or plastic con roofs??

Well I've read on here that they can scratch con roofs too, if in any doubt just use a flocked.
Your other question asks "is theere any brushes that will scratch Cills or plastic con roofs??" well if you really want to then a wire brush will do a really good job

The new mono vikan is not that stiff,i think some of the do it yourself monos out there are a lot stiffer but you`d be hard pushed to scratch anything with them.

Monofilament  will scratch any plastic paticulary acrylic clear roofs and also car paintwork. You end up with a wire wool effect. 
Use flocked when in doubt. But you wont notice any scratches on sills.

not a chance of a normal WFP brush - monofilament or not - scratching a con roof...unless your filament is wire!!

In my experience a monofilament will scratch a plastic conservatory roof- I know because I almost had to replace a couple of sections that I had cleaned on  previously unscratched sections, you could see it happening , scratching the sections in full sun.
Anyone, If you dont believe me clean your car bonnet or worse one of your customers with one and see what happens. Thats why Vikan went flocked. Go on try it and prove me wrong.
There is the possibility that you have a different material in your brush, what make is it ?

I wouldn`t trust some of the do it yourself so to speak mono brushes but for eample the vikan version of the mono woudn`t scratch,it`s a different kind of bristle it`s not the hard wire like bristles on some you`ll find it`s basically the same as most soft brushes just not flocked.

Ok so lets find out what the two types are called, I think one is called lets say - polyester/polymide  and that scratches, anyone know the name of the other type. Any Vikan experts here ?

I don`t know if you`ve seen the new vikan mono jeff but it`s actually quiet soft i think compared to other monos,i`ve had to put mine in boiling water a couple of times because it deforms easily if it has anything resting against the bristles or if the pole hose is wrapped around the brush head for any length of time.

I have used several monofilament brushes and binned them all as they are too soft and deform into a flat useless lump on the glass...I use Vikan flocked.
I have cleaned many conservatory roofs and there is no way you can scratch plastic with a soft brush...you could not even apply the pressure to do so even if it could scratch due to the angle of cleaning from the ground...if you have a scouring pad on the brush head and are face to face with the roof scrubbing away till you see smoke..then maybe...

Yes, the flocked have at least twice the surface area bristle coverage and stand off the glass instead of splaying and wont scratch.

I think you may be scratching with the jets or the brush head...as you say and I did...the bristles on a mono filament just spread out on contact leaving the jets very close to the surface being cleaned

No Steve I use an ott manifold the jets are above the brush and plastic. The brush that scratches was a mono Addis.
