Getting to Carpex
« on: September 21, 2004, 10:29:12 pm »
How easy is it to get to carpex from London Luton, Stanstead or Gatwick and how long will it take?

I've never been to London before apart from Watford.

I could go to London city airport but its £160 more expensive.

Whats the accomodation like nearby.

thanks
Mark

ok,
here is an example of stansted to custom house, right next door to excel carpex

STANSTED AIRPORT  10:15   Train   ONE RAILWAY
LONDON LIVERPOOL STREET   10:58   11:15   Train   ONE RAILWAY
STRATFORD LONDON   11:21   11:41   Train   SILVERLINK TRAIN SERVICES LTD.
CUSTOM HOUSE FOR EXCEL   11:48
DURATION: 1:33

it apperars that trains leave stansted every 30 minutes.

This is the info Martin19842 kindly gave me when i asked the same question in an earlier post.

I can highly recommend Docklands Holiday Inn- 5 min walk from Carpex
Also, there is a bus running from Stansted into London (cant think of the station it runs into) £6 1/2 hour journey approx & tube to Docklands

we could get a coach and all go down together, on the other hand, what I could do is not go and then offer my labour for to anyone who is going, who cant do their jobs that day.

Len,

You don't have to take a wheel off - the locals will have all four off within minutes  :(

Mark,
You are coming from Belfast, right.
We are coming up from the south coast on Thursday sometime by car. If you can get a flight to Gatwick on that day, I will pick you up on route.
Give me a call 01903 264342.
Regards,  Martin.
