Hi
Its the resin that I would worry about.
The Melin RO that it designed for household use is not used with a resin vessel and is ok

Dont EVER drink DI Water, there is a huge possibility of you catching Legionaires Desease !!, This is due to the way it produces Neutral water, an R/O System is really deisgned to take out all Toxics, it can produce dreaking water from drainage water, the water coming out of the R/O unit then goes thru a different filter an active carbon filter which puts back whats needed to make it drinkable, drinking straight out of the R/O is not recommended as pure water is too aggressive for your stomach, it will collect calcium magnesium etc from your stomach and basically rape you from inside.
The DI water. due to the fact that it remains in a Vesile for longer periods can collect bacteria which can cause serious health issues, its OK for cleaning but NOT for drinking "Make sure no one tries this"

the main problem with drinking water that has been deionised is that you may have some di resin grains in the water, the resin is toxic.

legionnaires disease is more a danger with stale water is it not - plus with deionised water surely the virus/bacteria whatever it is has nothing to feed on, therefore no way of multiplying - maybe I'm wrong, not something I know a lot about.

keep it simple.

Our gut system, from our mouth down to our colon produces many different enzymes which don't mix with each other, but deal with an extraordinary intake of products.  It the most unique digestive system of all living creatures on this planet.  However because of it's complexity it needs to, and is capable of adjusting to changing demands.
Shoving purified water, minus minerals, down your throat without warning is not much different to travelling to some foreign land and expecting your gut to deal with the changes there.  The big difference is that in foreign lands there may be amoebiosis or some other parasite in the crude water available.  Apart from that, in most Mediterranean countries, and home counties etc. it is just a matter of change in mineral content that makes it unpalatable and inadvisable to drink from the tap.  In time the body can adjust to many such changes.
Amazing eh?
Water is not so simple
Nor are we

Rain water has a low tds , lower than twenty.

Scotish tap water is supposed to be equally low, as would many naturally occuring springs.

There must be some sence it the above comments, but i find it hard to pick out which bits.

Are sure this is not a lot of old wives tales?

Its really good for you. it washes straight through your kidneys and liver, and rehydrates you quicker than any other water.

Yes, its true.

Your body can absorb it better. So alot of a hangover is dehydration, hence, pure water is a xure.

pure water yes, but only if its been ro'd - if its di as well then its best left undrunk.

incidentally, ro technology was created as a means of producing drinking water from poor water sources - apparently

I can't believe what has been writen on this subject.
Back to basics: What have we been told about the water we use?..... that pure water can't exist naturally, it is agressive and strives to to become inpure again by absorbing minerals. SO WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENS WHEN YOU STICK THAT STUFF INTO YOUR STOMACH
