Hi Guys, I am just about to hire Canvasers called "PDS Window Cleaning Rounds".
They claim to be the best canvasers in England and charge twice the value of the house (front and back). Do you know anything about them. I would appreciate your help and feedbacks.

If you used them make sure that they canvas the type of work you want,some of them say they will canvas certain priced propertys but then say it would take to long to build a round of that spec.They advertise to build rounds to your requirments but in reality it dosen`t happen,It might be better to use them in order to get a customer base and then build on that to what you want.

I would assume that PDS is run by Pat_Dudley-Smith who regually advertises his rounds on here, I dont who anything about him but some older members might.

NWH, Do you mean that they price houses sometimes less than the going rate or more? Cause it does not really bother me wether they canvas big or small house.

I think you are confused, we are not PDS, and have no associations with PDS Cleaning at all.

Some companys say that they charge 2x the price of a clean , thats ok if its a high priced job , But if it is not then they will charge you  3 times the price of a clean,

We Charge x2 on domestic, no matter what the client price will be.

Did you have a look at that big estate (chiswick) and get some idea of the price per job (minimum).

I had a meeting with WINDOW CLEANING ROUNDS LTD and when we spoke about money we agreed the price of the job +60%, they were due to start canvassing as I offered them regular work but could not meet them due to persoanl problems, when I arranged to meet them again they said they will now charge double the price of the job.  I found them to be messers and so I went out and hired my own canvassing team and pay them for the price of the work that they get, it is allot cheaper and you can rely on regular canvassers.

For all reading this, we had 2 months ago met with Stuart (QCS) and had arranged to start canvassing the following day, stuart had postponed us, then 6 weeks later agreed to commence the marketing, again decided not to commence even though we had made adjustments to our diary putting us in a situation of delaying one of our customers, which was dealt with happily.

Since then as no contract between both parties was signed, a 3rd approach by QCS was made, this time we needed to re-think and change the circumstances of how our two company's would work together, as you all would understand, the result - QCS have found another team of canvassers.

We wish QCS all the best.

I read lots of posts about canvassing companies on here, everyone has seemed to have had a problem with them in one way or another. I can honestly say the only problem i have had with my canvassers is trying to get hold of them, i always want to talk to them when they cant talk to me, ha ha. They are always polite, helpful and trustworthy and i ask my customers about them and they always say how nice and polite they are! Im so glad i picked the right ones out of the 3 or 4 others out there!!

I have a lad working for me part time , he used Doorknockers. They did not get him the ammount of work he wanted . but not far off the amount.
Anyway he has lost  a few and has been trying to get in touch with them to sort out either a refund or replacement customers , but is not having much look with there mobile number or emails

I ask for quality not quantity, i think this helps when you have canvassers. Ok so i have a couple with pain in the bum access, but hey rough with the smooth. But also if you have quality work you dont have any or some drop outs, they look forward to the window clean, and the main thing they always pay!! Or maybe i have just been lucky??
